EN – In a very special way, at the Milan Design Week in September, Materially presents the seventh edition of Materials Village, the event designed to promote the development and dissemination of innovation and sustainability from materials.
Hosted inside the Superdesign Show 2021 at Superstudio Più, Materials Village presents itself with a new indoor exhibition format, to tell some aspects of the material transformation of living and of the ecological transition through the example of companies and start-ups that make innovation and sustainability the focus of their work.
One area of the village is dedicated to the “WastEnders” exhibition, featuring innovative materials and everyday objects from agricultural, urban or industrial waste. The value of these products lies as much in the materials they are made of as in the processing technologies used to make them, the synergies of industrial symbiosis and supply chains and partnerships between the various players that help transform waste into value in a circular economy perspective.

ITA – In una veste del tutto speciale, alla Milano Design Week di Settembre, Materially presenta la settima edizione di Materials Village, l’evento ideato per promuovere lo sviluppo e la diffusione dell’innovazione e della sostenibilità a partire dai materiali.
Ospitato all’interno del Superdesign Show 2021 di Superstudio Più, Materials Village si presenta con un nuovo format espositivo, indoor, per raccontare alcuni aspetti della trasformazione materica dell’abitare e della transizione ecologica attraverso l’esempio di aziende e start up che fanno di innovazione e sostenibilità il focus del loro lavoro.
Un’area del village è dedicata alla mostra “WastEnders”, in cui trovano spazio materiali innovativi e oggetti d’uso quotidiano provenienti da scarto agricolo, urbano o industriale. Il valore di questi prodotti risiede tanto nei materiali che li compongono quanto nelle tecnologie di trasformazione con cui vengono realizzati, le sinergie di simbiosi industriale e di filiere e partnership tra i diversi attori che aiutano a trasformare lo scarto in valore in una prospettiva di economia circolare.
