INTERN - MARKETING & DIGITAL COMMUNICATION

Position Summary


In order to further implement and expand on an ambitious communication strategy, Mogu is currently hiring for an Intern in "Marketing and Digital Communication", with emphasis on social media management and the related contents. The company is primarily looking for applicants with background and early experience in the fields of interior design, architecture, furniture and fashion.

Main tasks


Reporting to the Communication Team, the chosen candidate will be responsible for activities, such as:

  • Contributing to integrate and expand on the Company's Digital Communication Plan
  • Creating textual and visual contents, in line with the Company's Communication Strategy
  • Monitoring and reporting about Communication Activities
  • Supporting activities related to Events such as Fairs & Exhibitions
  • Supporting customer-care activities
  • Supporting activities related to new products launches
  • Supporting marketing and advertising campaigns

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop/maintain social media profiles and quality content.
  • Prepare proposals and implement plans in relation to the Company's  Social Media Marketing and Digital Communication
  • Accurately report about communication activities (e.g. analytics and performance evaluation)
  • Liaise with other team members about ongoing and upcoming Production and Development activities
  • Be a reference for the Company's communication aspects related to products, events, day to day operations, R&D and more.
  • Develop other relevant social media outlets to support and expand on the Company's digital presence
  • Take attentive care of the contacts and of the audience following the Company

Skills and Qualifications

  • Educational Background: MA/BA preferably with specialisation in Digital Media Marketing and experience within the fields of interior design, architecture, furniture or fashion.
  • Professional Background: experience in commercial/marketing roles, within the fields of interior design, architecture, or furniture.
  • Computer Knowledge: Good skills in relation to use of the main Office automation softwares and analysis’ tools.
  • Communication: Experienced in social media marketing and in strategies related to the use of digital channels (social networks, web-news, etc.).
  • Independence: capacity to drive a project and advance suitable propositions.
  • Team spirit: capacity to work on projects together with colleagues and teams.

SALES MANAGER

Position Summary
In order to implement an ambitious market strategy, the Company is currently looking for a Sales Manager, with a minimum of 3 years of commercial experience and at least 1 year of experience in the fields of interior design, architecture or furniture.

Main tasks
Reporting to the Management Team, the chosen candidate will be in charge for performing a range of activities, such as:

  • Selecting and engaging potential commercial partners in EU (distributors, design and architecture studios, contractors, etc.)
  • Preparing, handling and managing commercial offers and contracts with clients
  • Taking care of customers'/partners' database
  • Monitoring and reporting about sales performance
  • Supporting customers' care activities
  • Conducting and compiling market analyses, products’ benchmarking and competitors’ assessment
  • Identifying the most suitable product positioning
  • Supporting activities related to new products launches
  • Supporting marketing and advertising campaigns
  • Supporting social media marketing

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a reference point for all commercial aspects related to products
  • Take care of contacts with commercial partners

JUNIOR TECHNICAL MANAGER

Position Summary
In its technical department Mogu carries out innovative projects to explore novel solutions based on mycelium and bio-based materials. In line with the development of disruptive products for the design sector, rooted in innovative production technologies, Mogu is currently looking for a Junior Technical Manager that can support the Company in further scaling up the production processes at our facility. The related activities will be mainly performed in our production unit, focusing on combining biofabrication principles with industrial manufacturing processes.

Main tasks
Reporting to the Management Team, the chosen candidate will be in charge for performing a range of activities, such as:

  • Support in the preliminary design and implementation of the production process for the manufacturing of design products
  • Preparation of proposals aimed to further improve processes and safety
  • Identification of alternative solutions (e.g. identifying approaches for modifying existing equipment, towards customisation)
  • Identification of service and technology suppliers for the design and further implementation of the production plant according to the processes in place
  • Supervision of the equipment maintenance planning
  • Support to the management in regard to authorisation procedures and safety standards
  • Support to production & overall organisation management

Skills and Qualifications

  • Background in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of matured experience in Industry, preferably in the manufacturing of furniture or finishing elements for design & architecture (e.g. flooring). Expertise in food industry, paper industry and cork industry will also be accepted and considered
  • Alternatively to the above, 5+ years of matured experience in manufacturing industries or mechanical workshops
  • Capacity of planning, designing and assigning work plans to a small team
  • Very hands-on and practical approach – capable and prone to fix, build & "hack" equipment
  • Fluent in English, spoken & written (sufficient knowledge of Italian is a plus)

COMPOSITE DEVELOPER

Position Summary

Mogu is looking for a Composite Developer to join our R&D and Product Development Team, dedicated to the development of innovative, sustainable, commercial and industrial products for the segment of interior design.

Main tasks
Reporting to the Management Team, the chosen candidate will be in charge for performing a range of activities, such as:

  • Design, development & testing of new sustainable materials for interior design, specifically of fibre-based materials, pressed or not pressed, deriving from mycelium technology and from Mogu know-how, to be implemented in standard and existing industrial technologies.
  • Prototyping and experimentation campaigns aiming to develop new materials and their characterisation;
  • Analysis and evaluation of costs & advantages of said materials, comparing them with existing & commercially available ones;
  • Evaluation & design of said materials based on the industrial manufacturing process entailed, as well as of economic, innovation, and sustainability drivers;
  • Support the definition of the industrial manufacturing process and the corresponding plant;
  • Support the characterisation and certification of Mogu products and materials;
  • Research and selection of potential raw material suppliers
  • Contribute to the good working environment.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Solid knowledge of materials science, specifically of composite materials, preferably of fibreboard materials (such as MDF, OSB)
  • Understanding & knowledge of Industrial Chemistry, specifically of binding mechanics of composite materials, and binders / additives to increase their performance;
  • Knowledge of industrial production processes of fibreboard / composite materials
  • Previous experience in industry, related to product and materials development or manufacturing;
  • MSc, preferably in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Industrial Chemistry or related
  • 5 years working experience
  • Soft team work skills; able to work in highly multidisciplinary environments; positive & reflective attitude; ability to work under pressure with a calm, resilient and problem-solving attitude.
  • Experience with biofabrication is a plus but not mandatory
  • Practical & hands-on attitude
  • Total comfort and fluency in both spoken and written English (Italian optional)

FERMENTATION FOOD SPECIALIST

Position Summary
As part of the activities of its R&D department Mogu develops pioneering projects, exploring innovative solutions based on fungal fermentation. Not only the materials we use, but also the food we eat must change for the good of ourselves and of the planet. Among its R&D lines the Company is developing novel products for the food sector. For this reason, Mogu is currently looking for a Fungal Fermentation Food Specialist, who can help us shaping the food of the future through processes based on fungal fermentation. His/her activities will be mainly performed in our fermentation laboratory and will focus on applying skills and developing techniques related to microbiology, biotechnology, and food science.

Main tasks
Reporting to the Management Team, the chosen candidate will be in charge for performing a range of activities, such as:

  • Lead the product development of novel mycelium-based food products, from designing and performing the fermentation experiments in the lab, to designing the novel food product itself.
  • Continuously improve the mycelium fermentation protocols to deliver better products, based on the outcomes of the experiment performed and according to provided KPI.
  • Deliver improved claims for new products on the market.
  • Lead the design of experiments, including lab and pilot trials.
  • Establish best practice in the company around research and product development.
  • Support joint development operations with third party manufacturers.
  • Cooperate with several partners as part of international R&D projects.
  • Support the preparation of reporting documents, such as deliverables and technical reports.
  • Keep a close eye on future market trends and appetites.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food or Life Sciences (or higher)
  • Proven experience in lab environment (5+ years) in the fields of fermentation and food science
