BAGNO DIURNO – A PROJECT BY STUDIOLATTE AND FINEMATERIA IN COLLABORATION WITH INABITA

During the Milan Design Week 2024, Studiolatte and Finemateria with Inabita present Bagno Diurno, the reopening of the historical building of the former Casa dell’Acqua in Via Giacosa within Parco Trotter in Milan. A week-long celebration of design, innovation, and sustainability, where guests can immerse themselves in the unique experience offered by Bagno Diurno, exploring the fusion of tradition and modernity in the heart of the city.

MOGU’S CONTRIBUTION TO BAGNO DIURNO

Mogu, a leading company in sustainable innovation in architecture and design, is excited to announce its collaboration with Bagno Diurno, a revolutionary project. In this context, Mogu joins the project by providing its Floor Flex flooring, a cutting-edge solution that embodies eco-sustainability, aesthetic beauty, and its deep expertise in the field of biobased products derived from mycelium.

Mogu’s Floor Flex is a resilient and biobased flooring, derived from agro-industrial residues, with an innovative formulation that uses low-value biomasses such as oyster shells instead of traditional industrial pigments. This direct connection with the element of water, a source of life and inspiration for the Bagno Diurno project, symbolizes Mogu’s commitment to responsible use of natural resources and embodies a fully circular approach to construction.

ABOUT BAGNO DIURNO AT MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2024

The creative installation involves design and live performances, returning the historic building to the city and enhancing it as a new temporary public space, connected to the historical value of Parco Trotter and the surrounding area.

Through a schedule of events, the building becomes an urban theater for discussions, contaminations, and experiences related to the research themes investigated by the creative team. The exhibition introduces the theme of care, facing the various aspects of the individual and collective relationship with the body, bringing gestures and rituals to the forefront of conversation in a public place within the urban context.

The exhibition path is structured through three different moments of strong sensory impact, leading to the exclusive climax experience of the installation, the “Observatory.” Discovering the historic industrial structure in a new version, to fully immerse oneself in the majesty of the building, envisioning a utopian and indefinite future for it.

Bagno Diurno mogu Milan Design week

Bagno Diurno, conceived by Inabita, Studio Latte, and Finemateria, is much more than a simple initiative. It is a bold opportunity to reactivate a historic Milanese building, uniting the tradition of nineteenth-century baths with a contemporary approach to personal and collective care in the city. This partnership is based on a unique connection between the fundamental element of water and Mogu’s innovative Floor Flex flooring, which uses oyster shells from this precious element.

“Our partnership with Bagno Diurno is not only a demonstration of our innovative technology, but also of our deep respect for the environment and its interconnectedness with humanity,” says Serena Camere, Head of Products at Mogu. The sensory experience of Bagno Diurno and Mogu’s contribution invite the Milanese community and design enthusiasts to participate in this celebration of water and sustainability in architecture and design.
