From 25 September to 4 October, Mogu joins MissionAcoustic MANIFESTO at the 20th VIENNA DESIGN WEEK, exploring how bio-based materials can become an active part of acoustic and spatial design
For the first time, MissionAcoustic brings its digital platform into physical space with MANIFESTO, Edition 01 — an exhibition where design, room acoustics, material research and technology come together.
Across approximately 400 m², visitors are invited to experience acoustics through materials, spatial installations, prototypes and design objects, exploring what happens when sound is considered from the very beginning of the design process.
For Mogu, this means bringing material innovation out of the sample box and into space.
Experiencing PLUMA at architectural scale
At the entrance to MANIFESTO, visitors will encounter a spatial installation featuring PLUMA, Mogu’s mycelium-based acoustic system.
Rather than presenting the material as a conventional product display, the installation turns the passage itself into an acoustic and material experience.
Texture, colour and sound come together to show how acoustic performance can contribute not only to comfort, but also to the identity and atmosphere of an interior.
Exploring bio-based acoustic materials
Inside the exhibition, dedicated Mogu displays offer the opportunity to experience our materials at a closer scale.
KANA, our hemp-based acoustic surface, explores how natural fibres, acoustic performance, colour and design freedom can become part of contemporary interiors.
Alongside it, Mogu’s mycelium-based materials demonstrate how biofabrication can introduce distinctive textures and new material possibilities into acoustic design.
Together, the installation and material displays explore one central question:
How can materials, sound and spatial comfort be designed together from the beginning?
